It seems as if he's dreaming of ways to change what cannot be changed.
This was a tough one...
That's one way to look at it, though that's not exactly what I had in mind.
the only other thing I can think of is that he just wants to get a tan.
Yes! thank you janjoon for getting it. How on earth will he get his summer tan when that stupid tree is in the way! :)
No seriously, if that's the way you see it then that's the way it is. i'd lie to you if I told you I knew exactly what it meant. I know though that there's an element of him not knowing how to change as well. Maybe others can tell me what they see in it, and help me understand it better..
