When all is far, and all is empty, I set sail and dock on a familiar shore, somewhere in my imagination

With all the Walls around it
Just a tree rooted deeply, in cold and barren sidewalks Garnishing empty houses of grey bricks and concrete Freedom is all it thinks of, with all the walls around it And I, the one who found it, all I see is defeat
Hi Fouad, I´m a 26 year old Swedish girl and I just wanted to say that Lebanon has been on my mind and in my heart every day since the war... I´ve visited Beirut once, I´ve done a fair bit of travelling around the world but Beirut is my favourite city! To me Beirut was a city with wonderful, friendly people enjoying life to the fullest! To me Beirut was a city where East meets West in an open minded, amazing way... I hope being able to visit Beirut again really soon, hopefully already next summer if possible. I also wanted to say that there have been a lot of angry, risen voices protesting against the Israeli aggressions in Sweden and the other European countries. Many of us were frustrated with how long it took before the leaders of the west acted... Beirut will rise and shine again and I truly hope to see you soon in Lebanon;) ´til then, take care and keep up the great job with your blog!

defeat? every prison has its door, and it seems the tree, growing upwards, has found it.
