Relentless Race to the Top

Very much like political life in Lebanon, except much prettier to look at, and much liklier to move..

Reminds me of the story in "A brief history of time" where:
a British physicist finishes a popular lecture and is challenged by an audience member who declares, "You've got it all wrong. The world is resting on the back of a tortoise."
To the obvious follow-up-"What is the tortoise resting on?"-the unflappable audience member replies, "You're very clever, but it's tortoises all the way down."

Replace tortoise with turtle, and what you have there Fouad is an image straight out of a Hindu text.

Heh, reminds me of the turtle we had back home. It was with us for 10 years and maybe more, but one day, it just disappeared. Hmm...

Kadmous and Kantakuzen??

Yes hashem, whatever it is they show on television..

Glad to hear it AM. I'm sure you know though..

Your turtle disappeared zulie? well mine did too way back when, only their tops remained..

aww mirvat.. cuter than el isteez?

darn you rouba for uncovering my fabrication. it took me no less than 15 pounds of lettuce in bribes :) and yes they are more balanced than our politicians, but not nearly as humorous..

el isteez is more of a genuine hate a disgust which goes for all of them. poor turtles don't deserve such comparison. they're just not merely as entertaining as other creatures.

i see a mama turtle with 4 turtlettes, the youngest getting an extra nudge from mom's shoulder... is that an applicable metaphor to politics? :)
