Produce Market

Nothing is as powerful as food bringing people together.
Nothing is as powerful as money tearing them apart.

such powerful words. It's funny this market reminds me of the one I saw in San Francisco by the bay. Shows the similarities oceans apart where we think "the other" is so very different from us. I love the market. It's so vibrant with beautiful colors, textures and flavors.

Isn't it odd sometimes to think about the various agreements that society makes? Why money is valued for commerce, for instance? Of course there are long, probably complicated, and possibly extremely rational reasons for this. (Lugging cows around could be cumbersome, for instance. And messy.)But occasionally in the autumn, I see the vibrant fallen leaves spilled on the pavement and feel that it is simply society's decision to value paper currency in lieu of paper leaves. And isn't the joy of seeing fall foliage actually a simpler emotion than that of handling money? Although that would be giving a positive value judgement to simplicity. :)

PS-In general, could the Anonymous Hordes agree on something to differentiate themselves? It would greatly enhance the enjoyment of their respective posts.

Maybe it's a way to man's self empowering through valuing his own artifacts?

I think it is sad to see how something devoid of intrinsic value attains more value than the things it was designed to be traded for.
