2007

(to PM)

This is the coffee shop where I sit down and look at the future, bittersweet coffee in hand, to see nothing but recurring glimpses of past, with deeper wrinkles, greyer hair, and a million more people dying uselessly on the alter of power lovers, heaven seekers, and detached conceited fools.

I look away and it's all the same around me. I close my eyes, but the images remain.

I lie to myself, and find myself dreaming.

Dreaming of a world only half as insane.

Use some sugar in your coffee, at least you get the illusion of a sweet aftertaste...
Well, I really don't know what to say, our sentiments are too close to disagree with each other - Fouad.

Fouad - I just wanted you to know, I love reading your blog.

It's one of the most hearfelt online journals I've ever come across. I check it daily for something new.

When I'm out of something to say you and all the other leb bloggers I've been checking are the place I head to remind myself we're such a beautiful people.

redfox, we're incredibly stubborn and incredibly resilient. I guess this unfortunately makes for an ideal punching bag.

I wonder what you think of my latest post Fouad. Sorry, my keyboard is bad and doesn't do the "equal" sign ... therefore no hot link. It's too tedious to cut and paste... so you have to travel there manually. The post is about the role of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Be well, Lukas.
